After reading a thread regarding favorite ballet videos I was amazed at the videos some had in their library. Can anyone reccommend some good sites where hard to find videos are available? I feel I have searched the net throughly and have not seen many of the titles mentioned in the favorite video thread. I'm jealous!

Almost of my video collection came from television broadcast. They passed too many programm in all the world television and during years. I try to trade with all world balletomanes because we don't have really too many tapes in France, you could find some tapes in Japan. They record too many programm (Kirov, Ballets de Marseille, Russian etoiles programm...)<P>I think you could find all the commercial tapes on amazon.com or all shop on line.<BR>Try also the english shop Dancebook, who have too many tapes, cd, dvd. I have a very extensive library of tapes - many unavailable anywhere, or so I am told. I began my collection in the mid 1970's when a BLANK tape sold for $30.00. There were virtually no pre-recorded tapes of dance anywhere. <P>So most of mine, not all, but most, come from being recorded off the television. Then as pre-recorded tapes became available they were quite expensive - as much as $100.00 a piece. To me, they were worth it, much as a painting one loves is worth the price. <P>There used to be places that specifically dealt with tapes of dance and opera. One was named Kultur, I believe. I don't know if they are still around.<P>Well, I just checked on Google - and YEA!!!!
