Hi All -
I'm new to this board, but know a few of your members. I am a studio owner, teacher, choreographer - member of DMA, DEA, PDTA, NADAA, and DAIA.
Last year a few of my friends (studio owners) and I were complaining to each other about children who quit dance after costumes have been ordered and how we all had BOXES of unused costumes. We decided someone MUST be able to use them, so I put photos of them into an internet photo album.
Anyone looking for costumes (probably studios versus dance companies) please check it out. The costumes are NEW, NEVER WORN. 98% are inthe original packaging, too!! I update the quantities, sizes, and photos whenever needed. (there is a date at the top of the album) Anyway, plesae book mark this address, tell your friends, and hopefully we can help each other!! Some costumes there are MANY and others are perfect for solos, duets, etc!!
I am located in Connecticut, USA and have shipped these outfits to purchasers in Australia, Canada, Japan, and the US. my email is tlmiles@zygo.com if you have questions or are interested in any item. Also if youhave a special need, let me know and I'll see if I can help!
PHOTO ALBUM: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=925282&a=6755900

Hello and welcome, Sherlock. What a good idea having a website of these available costumes. I hope you can find placement for them.

i agree that this is a wise idea, although i think it's rotten that you get left with them! can't you make them prepay!?
i will leave this thread closed here in MISCELLANY, but also move it as an active thread to BACKSTAGE forum, which is another place people might look.
either you, sherlock, or i, should find a way to mention it in THE STUDIO too, as it's also appropriate in there, where more teachers might look.
thanks for this. Image
if anyone wants to add a comment, please look in BACKSTAGE for this same thread.
[This message has been edited by grace (edited November 01, 2000).]
