KISSIMMEE -- She didn't draw or paint while growing up, but Nathalie Torres' hidden, natural talent emerged a couple of years ago. Torres, 32, is now beginning to share that talent with others.
Born in Bogota, Colombia, Torres studied publishing and was a ballerina. Although her family encouraged her to study art, her first love was dancing.Because of the political conditions in Colombia, Torres moved toBrevard County 41/2 years ago. When she discovered the difficulties of breaking into professional dancing, she decided to create art.
After focusing on learning English, Torres enrolled in painting and drawing classes at Brevard Community College. She also started participating in art shows and displaying and selling her oil paintings.
