We just received word that Lara Hartley has suffered injury in an accident:

Quote:
Photographer and poster Lara Hartley wanted me to let her friends at site criticaldance.com know she was in a serious vehicle accident Sept. 15. After two operations, she's making remarkable recovery and determined to speed up her physical therapy time. Well wishes may be sent to Apple Valley Care Center, 11959 Apple Valley, CA 92308.
If you recall, Lara was responsible for the beautiful photos and insightful interviews on the Matthew Bourne - Adventures in Motion Pictures - "Car Man" project:

Like everyone I was so sorry to hear the news about the talented Lara's accident. With all her spirit I'm sure she'll be fighting her way to recovery.

If you haven't looked at all her AMP images, please do yourself a favour and check them out (see first post). They provide a unique record backstage and her great skill at photographing people shines through.

Greetings All,
Lara continues in rehab at the Apple Valley Care Center and will celebrate her birthday Sunday, Oct. 13 there. This is from Lara: "Thanks to everyone for the good wishes, flowers and cards sent. They continues to brighten my day. The balloon is still up and when one is on medication its cool to watch. I love the Teddy bear."
Sincere appreciation, Debra

Hi

I was wondering if anyone knows of a phone or fax number to the Apple Valley Care Centre - I've tried the internet and international directory enquiries and no luck! There are some things I'd like to send Lara that I know she'd love and I'd rather she get them sooner than in a week or so.

sylvia,

I received the fax but some things need clarification...and I need your new email address as the one listed here is your old one!

thanks everyone for your good wishes and prayers - they must have helped because everytime I talk to a new doctor and he looks at x-rays he first says "OOOOooooh" - so very reissuring doncha know. So I am convinced it is all the good karma out there that made a difference between a fatal accident and a really bad one.

One thing that has not been damaged is my sense of humour, so if I seem a bit silly at timjes, that is still just me, no matter the state of the ol' body.
