Hi, I just noticed you have this section for self-introductions. I stumbled upon the site recently and so far really enjoy how civil and helpful the discussions. I'm the mom of a young dancer, but come from a long line of performing artists (though mostly theatre and music) so the roller-coaster ride we find ourselves on is not entirely unfamiliar.

We live in the Midwest USA, but earlier this year had the great pleasure of living in Australia for three months, during which time we saw the Australian Ballet perform twice (Swan Lake and Southern Lights) and even got to meet a lot of the senior artists after one show. What a thrill!

Hi Jane and thanks for taking the trouble to introduce yourself here. Many thanks also for the kind words - we have always made courtesy to artists, administrators and other posters a central part of our approach.

Your Aussie trip sounds interesting. Australian Ballet come to the UK in 2005 and should make for an interesting visit.

Hope you continue to enjoy CriticalDance.

I would imagine that moving from Australia to Oklahoma (or vice versa) is somewhat of a culture shock.

It's hard to find Vegemite in Oklahoma.
