Yes, we had a change recently. We moved our time one hour back this past Sunday morning.

Just to make it more confusing there are a couple of areas in the US that don't abide by Daylight Savings Time. I think that Arizona is one of them - or maybe it's New Mexico? whatever!!
I wish we would get rid of it - split the difference and get rid of it - it's so annoying. I once counted all the clocks that have to be changed - watches, car clocks, radios, TV's, video recorders, oven clocks, microwave clock, answering machines, everything seems to come with the clock.
And, my cat hates it!! She doesn't understand why she gets fed one hour later.
ACK!!!!!!!!!!

I thought it was started because of trains and farmers - neither of which are the main force in this part of the world anymore, so we can just cut it out already. I don't mind the extra hour of sleep though. What would happen if we just "fell back" and never "sprung forward"?

poor CAT! Image
as to what happens in australia...we have several different timezones, being a large country (east to west) like US. just to make things difficult, all states except western australia (where i live) DO have daylight saving. so our time difference relative to the east of australia (sydney, melbourne) is 2 hours sometimes, and 3 hours other times.
we've voted on it a few times...we ARE a state driven by the agricultural (and mining) sector, still. but the other reason we didn't change, is that we are on the same time as some of our asian trading partners, who we are geographically closer to, than to the major cities of australia! so for us, being in sync with southeast asia makes as much sense as being in sync with sydney & melbourne - but you can't have it both ways!
so - i'll chnage my SF clock, and my UK one, right? for those who wonder what i'm talking about: this board is run by 3 of us in different countries, providing 24 hour a day it's handy to know when we can actually talk to each other...
