Post subject:  CriticalDance is now a US Tax Exempt Non-Profit Corporation

CriticalDance is proud to announce that we have attained US tax exempt status as a non-profit corporation. For approximately the past two years, CriticalDance had been operating as a fiscally-sponsored organization with a functioning Board of Trustees. In February 2006, we were incorporated as a non-profit corporation and in October, we received word that the IRS has ruled in favor of granting tax exempt status to CriticalDance.

What does this mean? CriticalDance is now able to embark on various efforts to make improvements, which will ultimately benefit the dance arts community. It also means we can now raise funds through tax-deductible contributions made directly to CriticalDance.
