Since we've been picking up quite a few new members, I thought it might be a good idea for us to start a thread in which everyone can introduce themselves.
Anyone wants to go first?

Hi to everyone, I'm new to this board and I'd like to introduce myself. I'm a RAD ballet teacher from Italy and my job is all my life!!!
I've only a problem with this site: I can't read it off line and I wonder why . I've already bookmarked it and synchronized it (I don't know if this is the right word in English, hope yuo'll understand) , everything seemed to work well but when I try to read off line I only see a blank page . This is a problem for me as here in Italy we have to pay for every minute of connection and it'd be very expensive to read all the pages on line. Anyone who knows how I can deal with this problem? Sorry for my English. Thank you. antoP.

AntoP, I'm not sure if this bulletin board s/w will cache offline. It's based on a JAVA script that pretty much requires a direct link to the internet. However, I will research this and come back with a definitive answer.

there is also a Welcome thread in THE STUDIO with 13 introduction messages, from a while ago, but i think it's best to continue with newcomers now in this thread.
if you'd like to 'meet' anyone else who posts in THE STUDIO, try
http://www.criticaldance.com/ubb/Forum7/HTML/000005.html

Azlan, When I try to open a page off line I got the message (I translate form Italian)
"Impossible to open the Internet site http//www.criticaldance etc/ Impossible to find the specified file/"
As far as I know, my pc supports java script. I have windows 98 and internet explorer 5.1
I can't be very clear as I don't know how to translate the computer language! I have this problem only with criticaldance, as I can read off line every site I visit. antoP.

antoP, we're working on it as we speak. Please send me your email address if you'd like us to inform you directly by email when we have this issue resolved.

hello,
I just found this thread...and apologize for my tardiness in posting!
I am a mom of 2 dancers (thus, mom2). My girls are aged 9 and 13. The older one attends a professional program away from home. The younger one does RAD ballet (Grade 4) and is in a little competition group. I have mixed feelings about competitions, which I have noted in recent postings elsewhere.
My background is in psychology, and I have a management position in the special education department of a local school board.
I live in Canada.
Glad to meet you all!

Being a mom is always in addition to all the other things.................
Hello - I am Basheva - you can read all about it/me in WhoWeAre on the front page of criticaldance -
Maybe if the idea of this being the place for introductions as new members join - could be added to "About criticaldance" - so they would know where to go to introduce themselves should they want to.
[This message has been edited by Basheva (edited November 04, 2000).]
