Well, the description of this forum said to introduce myself, so here I go. I am a high school English teacher in Bellevue, Washington, U.S.A. (a suburb of Seattle). I am not a dancer myself, although I have become a fan of ballet (and a PNB subscriber) as a result of my summer job for the last six years as a summer dorm counselor and, more recently, as Residence Director for Pacific Northwest Ballet School.
I love the website! However, I wonder if you have considered adding a forum for students or young dancers. I think there are many younger folks who would enjoy an alternative to some of the other dance sites.
[This message has been edited by Dave (edited December 23, 2000).]

Hello Dave - nice to meet you - glad you enjoy the site. We have been considering adding a forum for students.
But I will defer to the administrators on that question......
Anyway, nice to have you!! Your connection to the ballet sounds like a very interseting one.

Welcome, Dave, and thanks for introducing yourself. Yes, we are in the process of designing a forum for students and young dancers. However, there are some issues we still have to work out.

Hi Dave, welcome to Criticaldance!
I think one of the strengths of Criticaldance is the variety of perspectives represented. People seem to arrive at dance in different ways - as students, audience members, teachers of dance, and teachers of English as well I see. Glad to "meet" you.
